Dota isn’t a game; it’s a lifestyle. The high barrier to entry will drive away new players, but those who crack the shell and get hooked have a very strong chance of rarely playing anything else again https://hire4freelance.com/search_project.php. Its 100+ heroes all play differently, and coming close to truly understanding one could take hundreds of hours. Even then, there’s always something new to learn. Every failed strategy, every death, every comeback is a chance to discover something new. Dota 2 is at its best when you’re playing with a team of five friends. Gathering gold, killing enemies, taking objectives as a coordinated team, then making a final push to victory is an incredible high that you’ll want to experience again and again. – Miranda Sanchez (Read Our Review)

BioShock will likely always be remembered for its game-changing “Would You Kindly?” twist, but the first adventure in Rapture is so much more than a dressed-up dupe. From first encountering a splicer caring for a gun the way a mother cares for her baby to the still-enrapturing Andrew Ryan twist toward the game’s end, BioShock delivers one enrapturing setpiece after another. That’s largely in part thanks to one of the most memorable locations in gaming history. So much story is embedded in the dilapidated hallways and shuttered rooms of Rapture, a decaying underwater labyrinth that demands to be investigated. The mark of a good experience is one that you keep thinking about long after you’ve finished it. And I still haven’t stopped thinking about BioShock, its incredible location, and those awesome Plasmids. – Jonathon Dornbush (Read Our Review)

Square Enix has been on a roll with its line of HD-2D games, and with Dragon Quest 3 receiving a glorious makeover, one of the greatest JRPGs of all time gets a fresh chance to shine on modern platforms. While the story remains largely intact, the visual overhaul, thoughtful changes to the old-school gameplay, and clever quality-of-life enhancements help modernize this Dragon Quest game for newcomers and series veterans alike.

The world of Albion came alive on the Xbox 360, while Fable 2 was also one of the first games to give you a full-time canine companion. The dog was, in gameplay terms, rather straightforward, but for many players, the pooch tugged on your heartstrings and made you care about him/her in a way that you typically wouldn’t above the average human or fantasy-pet RPG. Solid combat, a multiple-choice ending, great music and world-building, and a deft balance of action, adventure, and role-playing helped make Fable 2 both the pinnacle of the series and one of the finest bits of escapist fantasy ever coded. – Ryan McCaffrey (Read Our Review)

The second DLC, The Lake House, continues to thread the connection between Alan Wake and Remedy’s other franchise, Control. In this installment, players take control of the FBC (Federal Bureau of Control) agent, Kiran Estevez, as she explores the FBC site, the Lake House, and finds horrors within, along with clues and emails that lead her towards a volatile shapeshifting entity. Both DLCs offer up the same kind of cold dread that Alan Wake 2 offered and continue to showcase game creator and director Sam Lake’s exploration of what video games are capable of narratively and how far players are willing to follow him down the rabbit hole. If the set-up for Control 2 in these DLC games and theories already forming in the minds of gamers are any indication, pretty far.

Game 1 world series

In the franchise’s first playoff game since 2011, the Phillies had just a 3.4 percent chance of winning Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Cardinals with one out in the ninth, but they stormed back with a six-run inning. In their lowest moments, they had a 17.3 percent chance of winning Game 4 of the NLCS and a 21.4 percent chance of winning Game 5 of the NLCS — both of which turned out to be victories.

• Birthdays are important. Juan Soto became the first player with a birthday hit in the World Series since the Royals’ Eric Hosmer in 2014 Game 3. He’s the second with a hit and walk in a World Series birthday game, joining the Cardinals’ Keith Hernandez in 1982 Game 7.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Freeman stepped to the plate two outs and the bases loaded. Still nursing a sprained right ankle, Freeman turned on the first pitch offered by Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes and crushed a towering grand slam into the Los Angeles night to deliver a stunning win for the home team.

The Dodgers tied the game in the 8th inning, sparked by a double and some heads-up base-running from superstar Shohei Ohtani, who advanced to third base on a Yankees error. Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts plated Ohtani with a sacrifice fly.

The Yankees, however, did their part in Cleveland with help from slugger Juan Soto — acquired in a monumental seven-player preseason trade with the Padres — who hit a go-ahead 3-run shot off rookie Hunter Gaddis to break a 2-2 deadlock in the top of the 10th. The home run would send New York to its 41st Championship series in five games, seeking the franchise’s first title since 2009 and 27th overall.

In a strange twist of fate, the Yankees and Dodgers are 21-21 against each other in the postseason since the start of the 1953 World Series. Despite the disparity in the all-time matchup when it comes to title wins against each other, the two teams have split the last six Fall Classics they have played against one another.

Dodgers: The Dodgers may not have been the world killers that everyone expected when they opened the season with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and more. That said, 98 regular-season wins is nothing to scoff at, nor is taking down the Padres and the Mets to get here. I’m reluctant to ever say World Series or bust, but this was a team put together with rings (note the plural) in mind. The Dodgers played like winners all year. Now it’s time to finish the job.
