While the boss battles are the highlight of the Dark Souls series, the punishing levels are a close second. Each area offers beautiful scenery, if not completely ruined by the dangerous enemies looking to kill you at all times. If that isn’t enough, the concept of rest spots, or Bonfires as they are known in the series, are also dangerous. When you rest to refill your health and healing potions at Bonfires, all the enemies you killed come back to life as well, making trudging through older areas or fighting toward boss of an area that much more challenging.
Remember Flappy Bird? Another simple yet frustrating creation back in the day. Flappy Bird was a game where players must keep tapping on the screen to keep the bird afloat and away from obstacles. Although it may sound simple, the game quickly got under your skin. Conversely, it even had you addicted to the process of trying to win. This insane combination had a lot of players stressed back in the day, and most remember it until now. I know I do.
Due to its intense speed and wild track designs, the “F-Zero” franchise has always been one of the toughest racing games you could play. However, the roughest ride in the series was “F-Zero GX” on the GameCube. As breathtaking as it was to see a game running at sixty frames per second, the game’s fast-paced action made it hard for the average player to keep up. The learning curve is so sharp that anyone who picked up a controller would find their vehicle exploding before finishing their second lap. Those that stuck around to hone their skills found a wild and exhilarating experience.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” fellow Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández of the play, in which one fan held Betts’ left wrist and pried the ball out of his glove, while another grasped Betts’ right arm. “Now that I see pictures and videos and all that stuff, it’s a little crazy.”
Dodgers: There might have been more talented Dodgers teams in this era. There have definitely been healthier ones. This one, though, was the most perseverant. And so it was fitting, perhaps, that on the night they clinched, the Dodgers overcame a five-run deficit and used eight relievers — one of them a starting pitcher by trade — to secure 23 outs in a come-from-behind victory over the Yankees in Game 5. The last of those relievers was Walker Buehler, the Game 3 starter who had been dreadful as a reliever throughout his career and had been six years removed from his last stint out of the bullpen.
Stafford was high school teammates with Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw. A television reporter asked Stafford if he would tell Kershaw he wanted them to lose Wednesday so they could win the title in Los Angeles.
Officially, Buehler got the save. The Game 3 starter came out of the bullpen in Game 5 to slam the door on the Yankees. Blake Treinen got the game’s most important outs though. He got seven outs spanning the sixth to eighth innings, his longest outing since 2016. Treinen struck out Anthony Rizzo to end the eighth inning with two runners on base.
10:37 p.m. — PITCHING CHANGE. Cole enters for his seventh frame of the night and gets two right off the bat, as Ohtani and Betts both ground out to Volpe. Freeman walks and Boone pulls the trigger and comes out, replacing the ace with Holmes after a strong outing.

As mobile games have matured, the amount of game genres has expanded to include everything from shooters to adventure to racing. Mobile has also opened the door to new sub-genres of games, such as merge, match-3, idle simulators, and hypercasual.

Additionally, the metric used to rank games on this list has recently been changed from peak concurrent players to average monthly active players. Twinfinite believes this better indicates the most played games of the current year.
However, there are various factors to take into account. Fortnite is available on far more platforms than the other games on the list, just recently having been removed from the Google Play and iOS App Stores. Not only that, but the Fortnite battle royale has been free-to-play since its launch, making it accessible to the widest number of players possible. Considering this, it’s not all that surprising that people have spent significantly more time playing Fortnite than other games.
The game that kicked off a frenzy that saw the entire multiplayer gaming landscape reshaped over the past few years, PUBG still commands a huge audience despite the battle royale genre becoming flooded with copycat titles.

Game 1 world series
And in the end, the Dodgers came out with a magical opening act in which Freeman gave off those Gibby goosebumps — almost to the minute (Gibson’s homer had landed at 8:38 p.m. local time, Freeman’s cleared the wall at 8:39).
The play was highly reminiscent of Kirk Gibson’s walk-off homer in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series against the Oakland A’s. In both cases, a slugger hobbled by an injury delivered a homer to win the game. Gibson’s still reverberates through Dodgers history, and this one will, too, if the Dodgers can get it done in the next few games.

As it stands, the Boys in Blue have captured seven World Series titles, most recently in the shortened 2020 season. If they can keep things going they’ll have the fifth-most titles of all time, tied with their divisional rivals the San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers first baseman hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning to cap off a dramatic game. The Yankees had taken the lead in the top of the 10th, 3-2, but Freeman came through with a 423-foot monster of a home run to give his team a 6-3 victory and a 1-0 lead in the World Series.
