Organizers of a World Game session have a large amount of discretion over the format https://casinousworld.com/. The original 1969 workshop version ran for at least fifty hours from June 12 to July 31, and involved 28 people including Fuller. However, versions of the World Game exist with durations ranging from as long as an academic semester (e.g. the 1967 Southern Illinois University curriculum), to one day (as offered by the group We R One World), to four to six hours (as carried out by the University of California, San Diego in 1995, to mark the centenary of Fuller’s birth) to as short as four hours (as offered by the Global Solutions Lab), and with total player amounts ranging from 15 to hundreds.
Fuller proposed one model for how the World Game would be played farther in the future: after a week of studying a given problem, the players would partake in three rounds of peer review and negotiations. Colleague Medard Gabel described Fuller’s vision as follows, using the example of world hunger:
Game 1 world series
Neither team could drive in the go-ahead run through the ninth, bringing the World Series to extra innings. The ALCS MVP hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. The Dodgers let Jack Flaherty go through the middle of the lineup a third time, then Soto singled and Stanton hit an absolute moonshot. Look at this blast:
Jazz Chisholm Jr. had manufactured a run for the Yankees in the top half, singling, stealing two bases and coming around to score on a groundout, but the Dodgers came right back. They put runners on first and second with one out, saw both runners advance after Alex Verdugo spilled over the fence making a spectacular catch — and they sent Freddie Freeman up with the bases loaded, watching him deliver the walk-off grand slam. Game 2 world series
After Soto tied the score, Mookie Betts singled with two outs in the bottom half and Hernández, in a 3-for-27 slide, homered into the right-center pavilion. Freeman, who before Friday hadn’t gone deep since since Sept. 16, worked the count full and homered to right-center again.
The top of the eighth inning gave us plenty of weird for this night, highlighted by a tough jog for Philly slugger Kyle Schwarber. He smashed a 2-2 pitch from Rafael Montero for what initially appeared – and was ruled — to be a 2-run homer inside the foul pole in right to make the game, 5-3.
It was his third homer of this postseason, his sixth World Series homer in 97 plate appearances and his 15th homer in his 359th postseason plate appearances. That’s roughly 30 homers in a 162-game postseason.
Let’s see how efficient Kelly is. Remember, he was pulled after five innings when he was dealing against the Phillies in Game 6. He had thrown 90 pitches at the time and it was the third time through the order. Plus, it was the second time the Phillies were seeing him in less than a week. He’s at 43 pitches right now and since the Rangers are unfamiliar with him, surely Torey Lovullo will let him go deeper than five. Unless he has a rough inning here.
