The release date is certainly interesting, as it occupies Battlefield’s former October spot. It’s also far enough away from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Battlefield 5 that it should have room to breathe.
World series game
That was Stanton’s second home run of the World Series and his seventh of the postseason. He has 18 career postseason home runs, third most in Yankees’ history behind Bernie Williams (22) and Derek Jeter (20). Williams and Jeter both had more than three times as many plate appearances as Stanton. Stanton is, truly, one of the greatest postseason power hitters ever.
This will be the 12th time the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers meet in the World Series, the most of any two teams in Major League Baseball. While once a frequent match-up, it’s one that hasn’t been seen in over 40 years.

When Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off grand slam to save the Dodgers, who were trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 10th inning in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night, he was a hero to all Dodgers fans, including 10-year-old Zachary.

Game 1 was a beauty of a ballgame between two resilient teams with contrasting styles. Ultimately, the Rangers’ thump outsized the D-backs’ small ball. But the stands are clean, the day is fresh, and we’ll see what Game 2 brings.

Game 1 world series
So the Yankees took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 10th. Ohtani came to the plate with two on and one out. The Yankees turned to the lefty Cortes, who hadn’t pitched since Sept. 18 because of elbow trouble.
“When you get told you do something like that in this game that’s been around a very long time – I love the history of this game, to be a part of it, it’s special,” Freeman said. “I’ve been playing this game a long time, and to come up in those moments, you dream about those moments. Though it had been a long time since these baseball behemoths last met on this stage, the Dodgers and Yankees, facing each other for the 12th time, are the most common World Series opponents. These are the clubs that staged the first Subway Series, back when the Bronx Bombers defeated “Dem Bums” from Brooklyn mere months before the U.S. entered World War II. These are the franchises that battled each other while the Bronx was burning and Reggie Jackson was taking on the “Mr. October” moniker. These are the teams that last coexisted in the Fall Classic in 1981, when the Dodgers’ rotation was led by a rookie phenom named Fernando Valenzuela.
“Honestly, I thought I got enough of it,” Realmuto said, “but I kind of had flashbacks of the play that Tucker made on Judge’s ball that last series. Once I saw him running back to the wall, I was thinking in my head, ‘Oh, please just don’t catch it, just don’t catch it.’”
In keeping with the theme of their season, the Braves got huge home runs in Game 1 from two of the outfielders acquired in the mad Trade Deadline dash to replace the lost production of injured star Ronald Acuña Jr., with Jorge Soler becoming the first player to hit a true leadoff home run in the World Series and with Adam Duvall launching a two-run shot to the Crawford Boxes in left in the third inning.
