Instead of being rewarded for our work, Kay finds herself threatened by a sinister Imperial officer. As ‘wanted’ posters begin to appear on screens across town, our hero frantically makes for her spaceship, getting the heck out of dodge. A thrilling dogfight ensues with Kay matching wits with Imperial fighters. Next, we’re treated to cinematic cutscenes and dialogue between ND-5 and Kay, and the occasional chirp from Nix, after which we jump to hyperspace in a dramatic finale to the setpiece.
This sort of double-dealing is exactly the sort of stuff a good story about a lovable outlaw is built around, and Star Wars Outlaws is filled with it. Eventually, the intel at Gorak’s base confirms that one of his lieutenants is plotting a betrayal – you can either go along with their scheme, or report the info back to Gorak himself. I chose the latter, which gave me enough influence with the Pykes in the game’s faction system to get free reign of their base.
You’ll have to manage your reputation in the underworld It’s been confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will include a choices and consequences system. “As a scoundrel you live and die by your reputation, meaning that Kay will have to navigate the underworld and its various crime syndicates, making choices that will impact her reputation, her experience, and her support throughout the game,” said creative director Julian Gerighty.

The two starters, Flaherty and Cole, kept the game scoreless through the first four innings. After Enrique Hernández hit a triple in the bottom of the fifth inning, he scored the game’s first run via a sacrifice fly by Will Smith. In the top of the sixth, Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run home run after a Juan Soto walk, giving the Yankees a 2–1 lead and knocking Flaherty out of the game. Cole was removed from the game after giving up a leadoff single to Teoscar Hernández in the seventh. In the bottom of the eighth, Shohei Ohtani hit a ball off the top of the outfield wall and reached second base, but Juan Soto’s throw got away from second baseman Gleyber Torres, and Ohtani advanced to third base. The next batter, Mookie Betts, hit a sacrifice fly to score Ohtani and tie the game.
The Yankees continued to put traffic on, forcing the Dodgers to burn through relievers. In the bottom of the fifth, Alex Vesia escaped a two-out bases-loaded jam to keep the game tied at 5–5. In the bottom of the sixth, Brusdar Graterol allowed the first two Yankees to reach on walks, with the lead runner Soto scoring two batters later on a Stanton sacrifice fly to give the Yankees the lead again at 6–5. Blake Treinen, the Dodgers’ closer, entered to record the final out of the sixth and retire the side in the seventh. On the other side, Cole remained in for the Yankees for another 1+2⁄3 innings to help the Yankees reach the eighth inning with the lead.
After being limited by Flaherty in Game 1, the Yankees’ offense started very quickly in Game 5, scoring the first runs for the first time in the series. In the bottom of the first inning, Juan Soto drew a walk, which was followed by a first-pitch two-run home run by Aaron Judge and a solo home run by Jazz Chisholm Jr. to give the Yankees an early 3–0 advantage. In the bottom of the second, Anthony Volpe hit a double and scored on an RBI single by Alex Verdugo, extending the Yankees’ lead to 4–0, and chasing Flaherty from the game after just four outs. Giancarlo Stanton led off the third inning with a first-pitch solo home run off Ryan Brasier, pushing the Yankees’ lead to 5–0. Through four innings, Cole held the Dodgers hitless and allowed just two walks.
The Dodgers’ loss to the Mets on Friday in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series in New York shifted the series to Los Angeles for Game 6 on Sunday. It also means the World Series this year will start on Friday, October 25.

World has streamlined the cycle and made the introduction into monster hunting more palatable for newcomers all without watering down the deep action-RPG mechanics longtime fans loved most. With 14 unique weapons that all control entirely differently, endless armor customization options that change more than just fashion, and incredibly difficult fights that reward players with an incomparable sense of accomplishment, Monster Hunter: World is in a league of its own when it comes to endless replayability and challenge. Where to play: Windows PCCryptmaster is for the weirdos. It’s been described as a dungeon-crawling, corpse-filled Wordle — and yes, that’s about right. The game begins when a necromancer reanimates the corpses of four adventurers who he’d like to use to do his bidding. You’ll do that throughout the game, but you’ve also got to regain your memories and learn how to fight. This happens through words — not stories with words, but individual words. So if you found a chest, you type “chest” to open it. The item inside is usually something from one of the four heroes’ past, and you guess the item with clues from the necromancer. To get those clues, you can tell the cryptmaster what to do by typing a word: for example, “lick,” “look,” or “touch.” It’s similar in battle, where you type your attacks — let fish rain down with the word “salmon,” or do something normal like, well, kick with “kick.” You’re typing while an enemy throws its own attacks, managing the cooldowns of the heroes while trying to recall what words you’ve unlocked. Snipperclips is a largely underrated same-screen co-op game that’s perfect for parents and their children. You’ll be screaming instructions at each other, laughing hysterically and high-fiving as you snip (and possibly clip) your way through some seriously inventive levels.

Game 1 world series
Freddie Freeman hit the first game-ending grand slam in World Series history with two outs in the 10th inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 6-3 victory over the New York Yankees in a drama-filled opener Friday.
In the National League Division Series, the Dodgers faced a 2-1 deficit to their division rival San Diego Padres before rallying to take the series in five games. In the National League Championship Series, they defeated the New York Mets in six games to win their 25th pennant in franchise history and return to the World Series for the first time since their championship season in 2020, and the fourth time in eight years (2017–2018, 2020, and 2024). The Dodgers were just the second team in MLB history to face the two New York baseball teams in a single postseason, following the 1999 Braves. The Dodgers were looking to win their eighth World Series title.
Hobbled by a badly sprained right ankle, Freeman homered on the first pitch he saw — a 92 mph inside fastball from Nestor Cortes — and raised his bat high before beginning his trot as the sellout crowd of 52,394 roared.
Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam sent the Dodgers home happy with a win reminiscent of 1988 in more ways than one. The game began at 5:11 p.m. PT and was 3 hours and 27 minutes — over at 8:38. 1988 Game 1 had a 5:35 p.m. start and 3:04 time of game — over at 8:39.
Left fielder Alex Verdugo made a running catch in foul territory to retire Ohtani on Cortes’ first pitch. Verdugo’s momentum sent him tumbling over the low retaining wall, advancing both runners one base because by rule it became a dead ball when Verdugo wound up in the stands.
