I’d probably still argue that Burnout 3 is the highlight of this incredible racing series, though it’s difficult to deny that the decision to pivot to an open world in Paradise opened up new possibilities for a series that suddenly needed to raise the stakes.

You have to build your shelter, get weapons, and move towards the circle. You have to try to kill every other player that stands in your way. There are plenty of ridiculously savage games that are more obscure that truly deserve to be on here. When the hardest level has only been completed by around 260 individuals, that’s an all-time hard game.
