Texas A&M beat the Vols, 9-5, in Game 1 of the MCWS finals, then Tennessee completed the come-from-behind feat for the title, using late offense to top the Aggies in Game 2, 4-1, and maintaining an early lead in Game 3. With an RBI and a home run in Game 3, Dylan Dreiling won Most Outstanding Player of the 2024 MCWS. Dreiling also made history as the first player to hit a home run in all three of the MCWS finals games.
The Aggies plated two runs in the eighth to shrink the score to 6-3 before Tennessee reliever Kirby Connell struck out two batters who each represented the tying run. They drove in two more in the ninth, but couldn’t pull off the final comeback.
Future first-round pick Christian Moore set the tone early for the Volunteers with a lead-off home run to get the scoring started. After Texas A&M punched back in the top of the third and tied the game on a Gavin Grahovac single, Tennessee scratched across two runs of its own on a Dylan Dreiling sac-fly and a Dean Curley RBI single to take a 3-1 lead.

If the Heroes are going to start the game in a more mundane setting, action can be provided by describing a brief “Teaser” scene that doesn’t include the Heroes.
