Jules and Shadow find that each object Carmen has stolen seems to be tied to a mysterious Portuguese explorer, a lost city with a great treasure and a strange “wheel” design. On the eighth and final case, Jules and Shadow track down the lost city itself. Once inside the city, however, they find Carmen sitting inside a chamber filled with priceless treasures. Carmen suggests that she may be planning to lock Jules and Shadow away in the city, but Jules insists that Carmen would not do such a thing. Shadow captures Carmen by grabbing her wrist with a grapple launcher, but she inexplicably escapes through the use of a smoke bomb. Jules and Shadow debate if Carmen led them to the treasure for ethical reasons or if she is simply a bad person. Whatever were Carmen’s true motivations remain a mystery.
There was also a New Zealand version of Carmen Sandiego that lasted from 1995 to 1998, there a talent group called the “Chemistry Boiz” took Rockapella’s place. Radio Television of Malaysia produced their own iteration of the show in 1998 titled Di Mana Joe Jambul (Where Is Pompadour Joe). In this version, contestants composed of two teams of three kids try to find clues and stop Pompadour Joe and his gang’s criminal activities around the world. The show was rebooted in 2012 with a new set, animation and rules.
When Carmen Sandiego first launched in 1985, the game was distributed alongside “The World Almanac and Book of Facts.” The in-game almanac was a unique feature that deepened the experience, blending educational content with engaging gameplay.
I’ve done some research, and discovered that there were even more versions of this than I thought. There were three, not two, VGA version(Normal, Enhanced, and Deluxe) a Super Nintendo version, a Commodore 64 version, and an Apple II version in addition to all the versions listed above(They did make a Macintosh and Amiga version too, like I thought.) Dang this game was popular.
I just remembered that the NES game is a port of “Where In Time Is Carmen San-Diego?” not “Where in The World….” I’ve had so many of these games(everything but the Macintosh and Amiga Versions), and have a hard time keeping them apart. To show you how much of a geek I am, they were all legally purchased by me in their original boxes(Some of them used.)

The Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros were all knocked out in the Wild Card Series to kick off October.
The New York Yankees will try to make history on Wednesday night in World Series Game 5. The Yankees dropped the first three games against the Dodgers in the 2024 Fall Classic, but they kept their season alive on Tuesday with a come-from-behind win in Game 4. Anthony Volpe hit a grand slam in a game that will also be remembered for a bizarre fan interference incident involving Mookie Betts in the first inning.
But what happened 20 years ago forever remains a reminder that a 3-0 series can still be salvaged for the trailing team. For the Yankees to pull that off, their lumbering lineup, which is batting .186 as a team in this World Series, is going to have to get it going in a game in which the Dodgers will be going the all-reliever route.
