Two countries, across two continents far apart from one another, speaking two different primary languages, in hugely differing timezones, with fairly unique cultures. Yet both — on a small scale at least — appear to share a mutual love for a very specific game (and in this case, a specific streamer, T90, that commonly does fun streams talking about low-level Age of Empires 2 strategy).
Even more so, players (including myself) are always inclined to go back to expand their worlds further or create an all-new universe from scratch. However, the biggest issue, for me at least, seems to be keeping the whole crew together, as none of our servers manage to last more than a month.

Betts brought Ohtani home with a sacrifice fly to knot the game up 2-2. The Yankees are a sloppy and undisciplined team, have been all season, and three times they gave the Dodgers an extra 90 feet in Game 1. Twice it burned them and cost them runs. The Yankees opened the door with poor defense and the Dodgers walked through. Credit to them for taking advantage.
History pulsates in the postseason, all the more when iconic clubs clash. And Valenzuela’s death earlier this week only added to the emotional heft of what is taking place here. Prior to the first pitch, the Dodgers had two of their World Series MVPs — Steve Yeager (1981) and Orel Hershiser (1988) — honor Valenzuela’s memory by placing a ball on the mound, below where his No. 34 had been painted.
A tense, tight, back-and-forth affair ended in dramatic fashion, with the Dodgers coming away with a 6-3 victory on Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning. It was the first walk-off grand slam in World Series history, and just the second in all of postseason history.
Though it had been a long time since these baseball behemoths last met on this stage, the Dodgers and Yankees, facing each other for the 12th time, are the most common World Series opponents. These are the clubs that staged the first Subway Series, back when the Bronx Bombers defeated “Dem Bums” from Brooklyn mere months before the U.S. entered World War II. These are the franchises that battled each other while the Bronx was burning and Reggie Jackson was taking on the “Mr. October” moniker. These are the teams that last coexisted in the Fall Classic in 1981, when the Dodgers’ rotation was led by a rookie phenom named Fernando Valenzuela.
The Dodgers tied the game in the 8th inning, sparked by a double and some heads-up base-running from superstar Shohei Ohtani, who advanced to third base on a Yankees error. Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts plated Ohtani with a sacrifice fly.

Occasionally, a witness will give a partial description of the criminal, allowing the user to eliminate one or more V.I.L.E. members as suspects. When only one viable suspect remains, Interpol issues an “arrest warrant” (the in-game equivalent of an Interpol “Red Notice”) against that individual. If the user enters a combination of attributes that eliminates all possible members of the database, the game will inform the user to that effect and refuse to issue any warrant. Once the user reaches the final destination (indicated by witnesses warning the user to be careful) and chooses the correct location, the police chase the criminal across the screen, leading to an off-screen fight. If the user has obtained a warrant for the correct suspect, the police place the criminal under arrest and the case is closed. Otherwise, the police are left empty-handed and the criminal escapes.

The Carmen Sandiego franchise began with the classic video game in 1985, Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?. Each subsequent video game in the series has a particular theme and subject, where the player must use their knowledge to find Carmen Sandiego or any of her myriad henchmen. This series was originally owned and developed by Broderbund, but is now owned by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
After Lee meets the day’s gumshoes at the beginning of the show, the Chief briefs them on the crime and the crook who committed it, often adding the crook’s reason for committing the crime. The gumshoes began with 50 ACME Crime Bucks each. Assorted live action, celebrity, musical, animated and costumed comedy sketches were performed, each providing clues to a geographical location of the day’s crook. A map with three possible locations was shown on-screen to the gumshoes, Lee reminded them of the clues and each gumshoe chose an answer. Ten Crime Bucks were added to each gumshoe’s score for a correct answer, and there was no penalty for a wrong guess.
The Chief (Lynne Thigpen) is head of the fictional “ACME Crimenet”. As the de facto announcer for the show, the Chief eloquently uses dialogue with wordplay. The Chief became so popular that Thigpen reprised the role in later editions of the PC games, and also in the subsequent TV series Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego?
