The Yankees will send rookie Luis Gil to the mound in Game 4 on Tuesday to try to save their season. The Dodgers will counter with a bullpen game.
Walker Buehler was not the Walker Buehler we’re used to seeing after he returned from his second Tommy John surgery earlier this year. His stuff was diminished, his control was scattershot, and the result was a 5.38 ERA and .787 OPS allowed in 16 regular season starts. It’s fair to wonder whether Buehler would have even been in the postseason rotation if, say, Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw were healthy.
Sparked by – stop us if you’ve heard this one – a Freddie Freeman home run and steered by an exceptional outing from Walker Buehler, the Dodgers’ 4-2 triumph over the Yankees in Game 3 on Monday night put them on the verge of a World Series sweep.

On June 8, 2010, Game Informer presented their first hands on, where it was revealed the game would be a timed exclusive for PlayStation Network, with an Xbox Live Arcade release at a later date. The first trailer for the game was released on June 11, 2010, which showed some of the stages in the game such as inside a club, on a street and noticeably inside a Toronto Transit Commission streetcar. The game makes various references to video games, such as River City Ransom, Mario, Kirby, Mega Man, and Guitar Hero. An early pitch video was revealed on August 11, 2010, which showcased even more retro graphics and direct parodies of classic games.
One of the things that makes the comics a richer experience forScott Pilgrimfans is that many of the side characters are more fleshed out than they are in the film. One of those casualties isEnvy Adams, Scott’s ex-girlfriend and lead singer ofThe Clash at Demonhead, who comes off as far less sympathetic in the film than in the comics. In theScott Pilgrimgraphic novels, readers learn that the Scott/Envy breakup isn’t so cut-and-dry, and there’s more closure to their relationship.

How will the bullpens line up after the starter?Yankees: Everyone should be available for Game 2 except for Nestor Cortes, as the Yankees are hesitant to pitch him on back-to-back days considering his left flexor elbow strain. Luke Weaver threw 19 pitches over 1 2/3 innings in Game 1, and that was the heaviest workload for a Bombers reliever. Clay Holmes (5 pitches), Tommy Kahnle (8 pitches) and Jake Cousins (14 pitches) also saw action.
In 18 regular season starts, Yoshinobu Yamamoto never went at least six innings without allowing more than one hit, but he did it in Game 2 of the World Series. His 6 1/3 innings completely quieted the Yankees offense, making a three-run game for much of the night feel like a blow out.
The presumptive American League MVP went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Saturday. He’s 1-for-9 with six strikeouts in the World Series, and 6-for-40 (.150) with 19 strikeouts in the postseason. The Yankees have advanced this far without Judge supplying anything close to the production he provided during the regular season. The Yankees don’t necessarily need that version of Judge to resurface to win the World Series. But they will not beat the Dodgers four times in five games if Judge isn’t substantially better. Giancarlo Stanton belted a huge home run in Game 1. Juan Soto delivered the Yankees’ first two hits, including a home run, in Game 2. The big question for Game 3: As the Dodgers celebrated taking the first two games of the World Series, they did so with a question in the back of their minds: Will they have Ohtani at full strength for the rest of the series? Ohtani, who was caught stealing in the seventh inning, was helped off the field by training staff. An on-field microphone caught him saying his left shoulder was injured. After the game, Roberts said that it was a shoulder subluxation and the Dodgers were “encouraged” by the initial results before further testing.
