Game 1 world series
The world map was the first order of business. With the world map in place, and all the locations signed off, it was much easier to dig in and create the detailed maps illustrating the individual regions https://ajiramedia.com/university-of-dar-es-salaam/. This map has everything – bleeding seas, steaming jungle, towering mountain ranges and the weird shadows of Asshai. We’ll see more of those as we travel to the detail maps over the coming month.
Harrenhal is a monster of a castle, with multiple keeps and towers that bear the scars from centuries of depredation and war. It looms at the top of the Isle of the Faces, near the mouth of the Trident and straddles the Kingsroad. It’s key location makes it strategically key, with many major players based here over the course of the war, but it also holds a curse. Those that hold Harrenhal tend to come to bad ends.
Casterly Rock is an odd case. The Rock stands over Lannisport and is the family seat of the Lannisters. However, with their land grab for the Iron Throne, Casterly Rock becomes more of a retreat for the family, the place where those who fall out of favour are banished.
Game 4 world series 2024
Really, nothing much in this series has gone right for the Yankees since Freeman’s Game 1 heroics, and Yankee Stadium reflected that Monday night. These are still terrific fans who have waited 15 years to see a World Series game again. But you’ve got to give them something to cheer. Maybe Judge will hit a homer to provide some hope and light the place up again. But you know when it’s tough to get the fire lit? When you’re down 3-0 in a series.
His biggest contribution came in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets when, in another bullpen game in a potential series clincher, he got four key outs to preserve the Dodgers’ early-game lead. They went on to win.
It has flown under the radar because the Yankees fell behind in the series 3-0, but their bullpen has been great the last three games. From Games 2-4, New York’s bullpen has allowed just one run in 15 ⅓ innings. They gave the offense a chance to get back into Games 2 and 3, and they shut the door on a win-or-go-home Game 4.
• The Dodgers and Yankees had a World Series preview June 7-9 at Yankee Stadium, with Los Angeles winning two of the three games. Teoscar Hernández had a go-ahead, two-run double in the 11th inning of the first game, a 2-1 Dodgers win, then hit two homers in an 11-3 rout the next night. The Yanks salvaged the finale with a 6-4 win, powered by Trent Grisham’s three-run homer off Tyler Glasnow.
It was exciting to learn that Shohei Ohtani, after subluxating his left shoulder while being thrown out trying to steal at the end of Game 2, was going to be in the starting lineup for Game 3. But now that we’ve watched him come to the plate five times … are we sure Shohei should be playing right now? Ohtani’s swings have been awkward and halting; he hasn’t hit the ball hard even once and he seems to be in rather obvious pain anytime he swings and misses. (Even so, he did reach base twice, on a walk and hit-by-pitch.)
Game 3 world series
What was supposed to be a Goliath vs. Goliath showdown has instead been a one-sided matchup since the 10th inning of Game 1. The Dodgers simply haven’t blinked since taking control of the series on Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in the opener. Freeman homered again in Game 2, and he hit another home run in the first inning of Game 3. The Dodgers haven’t trailed since Game 1.
Sure, the 2-0 team wins the World Series an overwhelming amount of time, but the last time these two teams faced off in the World Series, the Dodgers overcame an 0-2 hole to win it. Plus, Shohei Ohtani is dealing with an injury, though he is in the Dodgers’ lineup.
Walker Buehler was not the Walker Buehler we’re used to seeing after he returned from his second Tommy John surgery earlier this year. His stuff was diminished, his control was scattershot, and the result was a 5.38 ERA and .787 OPS allowed in 16 regular season starts. It’s fair to wonder whether Buehler would have even been in the postseason rotation if, say, Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw were healthy.
Big D M.: As a neutral, The difference between these teams isn’t the stars. They both have plenty of those. Rather, the Dodgers have real ballplayers at the bottom of the the order and the bottom of the roster. The Yankees are thin behind the big guys.

NEW YORK — Fans crowded into Dodger Stadium for Friday’s World Series opener, among them the wives and girlfriends of the players on the home team. One of the girlfriends was missing, though: She had a big game, too.
