The music? I don’t remember a lot of “modern” gaming music. Not in the sense like a NES or Genesis classic. I’ve been humming the music all week. It’s catchy, infectious chiptune music that only complements the action further red dog casino legit.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is a side-scrolling brawler that was made in retro-style to harken back to the 8-bit and 16-bit era of video gaming. The game’s plot is the same as the series it was based on; the story follows a slacker who falls head-over-heels when he meets an out of town delivery girl, Ramona V. Flowers, and he must battle with her seven evil exes in order to continue dating her. Players can play as Scott Pilgrim, Kim Pine, Stephen Stills, and Ramona Flowers as they battle their way across countless goons in a video game version of Toronto and ultimately take down Ramona’s seven evil exes. Like the classic beat ’em up River City Ransom, the game features RPG Elements that allows Scott and his friends to earn money to purchase various items from various stores all throughout Toronto, and gain new abilities and level-up as they beat up enemies.
Paul Robertson (famous animator for his work on Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 and the music video of Architecture in Helsinki’s Do The Whirlwind) was the lead animator of the game. GIF sprites of the characters can be found on his LiveJournal here and here.

And since we know how it ended, here’s what you may be thinking: How many other teams have ever taken a five-run lead and a no-hitter into the fifth inning or later of a postseason game … and then lost that game?
What also tracks: Three of the 10 most influential plays tonight, by win probability change, began with the baseball in Kahnle’s right hand. Kiké Hernández’s leadoff single stung (8.8 percent change). Tommy Edman’s infield single seriously hurt (12.1 percent). And walking Will Smith on four pitches (16.6 percent), well, that was basically ballgame.
The Dodgers rookie tossed 12 2/3 innings of one-run baseball against the White Sox. After multi-inning saves in Games 2 and 3, Sherry won Games 4 and 6. He relieved Podres in the fourth inning of Game 6 and finished the game, 5 2/3 scoreless to secure a World Series title.
So it was Yankees 5, Dodgers 0 … and Yankee Stadium was possibly the loudest place in North America. But inside the dugout of the Dodgers, there was one indisputable baseball principle they kept repeating to themselves.
Nevertheless, back to the topic at hand. So you think that even those deep-thinking Dodgers saw this game coming, with all their fancy-dancy analytics and game-planning gurus digging into every possible scenario? That, friends, was impossible.

Cortes made sense as lefty counter to the left-handed hitters in Freeman and Ohtani. As a starter, Cortes held lefty batters to a .530 OPS in the regular season. Ohtani was 2-for-12 against him in his career.
Cole had some of his best stuff in Game 1. He was dialed in. Shohei Ohtani swinging on the first pitch of the game suggested the Dodgers weren’t going to be overly patient. They weren’t, and it worked. Three of their four hits off Cole went for extra bases. It was Enrique Hernández’s triple that led to the game’s first run, and the only run Los Angeles pushed across against Cole.
After the New York Yankees took the lead in the top of the 10th inning at Dodger Stadium, Freddie Freeman sent the L.A. fans home happy with a walk-off grand slam to win it for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The game went extra innings, and Dusty Baker turned to starter Luis Garcia over relievers Ryne Stanek and Hunter Brown — not the worst decision, given Garcia’s five scoreless innings in that 18-inning win over the Mariners in the ALDS — but certainly a little questionable with two hard-throwing, effective relievers still in the bullpen. Realmuto greeted him with a line-drive home run just over a leaping Tucker’s glove and into the right-field stands. David Robertson then gutted out the save, getting Aledmys Diaz to ground out with runners on second and third.
Even if the numbers may have favored Cortes, the context left room for doubt. Cortes still got Ohtani to fly out in foul territory thanks to a terrific running catch from Alex Verdugo. Boone then called for the intentional walk of Betts to induce to left-on-left matchup with Freeman.
Minute Maid Park had been loud and proud when Tucker’s Ted Williams swing had produced a solo shot in the second on a Nola changeup and a three-run shot in the third on a sinker. This was a coming-out party for one of the more underrated Astros, a 25-year-old right fielder who can influence the outcome with his bat, glove and legs.
