To finally answer the question of what is the most popular game in the world, the answer is a bit shocking. For many, Fortnite is one of the best games out there. But for others, it’s just a children’s game that does a bit too much. Even though Fortnite receives intense opinions on both ends of the spectrum, it’s undeniable it’s one of the biggest games right now. Fortnite is one of the many battle royale games that have grown in popularity over the years. The online video game by Epic Games was released in 2017 and has multiple different game modes.
By using different sources in a two-step process, it meant we had a more varied judgement of overall ‘popularity’ that didn’t just look at sales data, which wouldn’t be very good at identifying games that were released a long time ago but are still popular, or games that are free.

Chase Utley matched Jackson’s mark in the Philadelphia Phillies‘ 2009 World Series loss to the Yankees before George Springer had a five-homer showing in the Astros’ 2017 World Series win against the Dodgers.
Freeman is now one home run away from tying the record for the most homers by a player in a single World Series. There have been three players who recorded five homers in a single World Series, with Reggie Jackson first doing so in the Yankees’ 1977 World Series triumph over the Dodgers.
Treinen walked Jazz Chisholm, prompting a mound visit from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. Treinen stayed in the game and got Giancarlo Stanton to fly out to right field. Treinen then struck out Anthony Rizzo to strand Judge and Chisholm.
9:33 p.m. — Kiké earns the Dodgers first hit of the night on a single to Soto, snatching Cole’s no-hitter. Edman steps up and adds another on a fielding error by Judge, who makes his first mistake of the night. Smith is up with two on and no outs.
10:10 p.m. — Edman starts things out with a liner to Verdugo who makes the catch. Cole earns his sixth strikeout of the night the next at-bat, getting Smith swinging on five pitches. Lux flies out to Soto to end Cole’s 1-2-3 inning, the score locked at two.
