Crawford can still claim the award this year if Tyson Fury defeats Oleksandr Usyk on December 21. Fury lost the first fight against Usyk in May and was almost knocked out. Therefore, if ‘The Gypsy King’ manages to gain revenge, Crawford’s achievement of winning a world title in a fourth weight class will outweigh the heavyweight’s triumph.

My second time seeing EOTS and it was super fun. The opener Neil Francis was fun & a good lead-in for the positive vibes of EOTS. The backup dancers had interesting costumes as always and accompanied bright backing visuals. It all matched up well with their album art & music videos. Even in the light rain, the crowd started energetic and sang along to every song.

Following several collaborative efforts, Littlemore and Steele joined together, with Littlemore playing keyboards and background vocals while Steele has handled vocals and guitar. In March 2024, the group’s social media platforms became deserted of all previous media, including the profile picture changing to black. The pages soon began to tease a new single: “Changes”, which was released on 5 April 2024.

Although the name of the final project has been attributed to the 1984 novel of the same name by J. G. Ballard, Littlemore denied this and offers an explanation, saying, “the name comes more from the idea of … the fact that we’re traveling around the world going to all the places of empires of the civilization where the sun has been a theme of worship. It’s not based on the Ballard novel nor the Spielberg film of the same name.”

The music video for the song was shot by Josh Logue on location along the Bund in Shanghai, China, in July–August 2008, just prior to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. It features Steele and Littlemore wearing Eastern costumes and makeup, inspired by Peking Opera.

The two reconvened in 2006 to work on two songs for the Pnau album that was released in late 2007. They collaborated on the tracks “Freedom” and the opener “With You Forever” where Steele supplied the vocal. This prompted a change in direction for the band who began to craft a work more vocally-centered album featuring guest performances. A track-by-track analysis of the album Pnau revealed that writing of “With You Forever” with Luke Steele inspired Littlemore’s band to begin work on a collaborative project. Littlemore said, “We fell in love with music again with ; I think this is first great song.” The release of Pnau brought an interest from Elton John, who signed Littlemore to his management company.

“Walking on a Dream” was released on 30 August 2008 as the album’s lead single, going on to be the Empire of the Sun’s biggest hit worldwide. The second single, “We Are the People”, was released on 20 September 2008. The album reached number six on the Australian Albums Chart and number 19 on the UK Albums Chart, whilst hitting number one on the UK Dance Albums Chart.
