E wallet และ Digital wallet มีความเหมือนกันตรงที่ว่า เป็นแอปพลิเคชั่นที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อเป็นระบบในการชำระเงินและการทำธุรกรรมผ่านระบบออนไลน์ ซึ่ง E wallet เป็นคำที่ใช้เรียกกระเป๋าเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ทุกประเภทโดยรวมแต่ Digital wallet จะเป็นระบบการชำระเงินที่มีการนำเอาระบบ Fintech หรือ Financial Technology มาปรับใช้ร่วมด้วยเพื่อให้บริการทางการเงิน โดยเฉพาะในส่วนที่ทางธนาคารไม่ได้ให้บริการอย่างครอบคลุม ดังนั้นจึงกล่าวได้ว่า Digital wallet เป็นหนึ่งในประเภทของ E wallet ส่วน E wallet ไม่ได้เพียงแค่ Digital wallet เท่านั้นแต่จะมี Electronics wallet ประเภทอื่นๆร่วมด้วย

2.4 ผู้ใช้บริการต้องเก็บรักษารหัสประจำตัวใดๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้บัตร YouTrip ผ่านบริการ Digital Wallet เช่น เลขที่บัตร YouTrip ชื่อผู้ใช้งาน (Username) และรหัสผ่าน (Password หรือ PIN) ของ Smart Device และบริการ Digital Wallet ไว้เป็นความลับและไม่เปิดเผย หรือกระทำการใดๆ ที่อาจทำให้ผู้อื่นล่วงรู้ และ/หรือเข้าถึงการใช้งานบริการ Digital Wallet และ/หรือ Smart Device และ/หรือใช้บัตร YouTrip ของผู้ใช้บริการ
